This lotion is scented with pure Indian Sandalwood (Santalum Album), a rare form of sandalwood known for its warm, creamy, earthy aroma. Real sandalwood is normally subtle and skin close. This does not behave like a perfume or "fill" a room.
Many sandalwood products on the market use fragrance blends, amyris or synthetic sandalwood notes. These versions are louder and more perfume-like.
This lotion has a gentle aroma when you open the bottle. It warms and deepens with your natural body heat and stays close to the skin. You sense of smell may get accustomed to it and not scent it until again later. This is normal for authentic sandalwood. It;s more subtle, grounded and earthy on the skin.
